This project started off as a very vague and confusing concept as there weren’t many inspiration images or clear references to work from, so the early challenge was figuring out what the map was supposed to feel like and how players should flow through it. I refined the environment overtime, leaning into a clean, stylized palette with warm terracotta / coral accents to give the map a modern, playful look while still keeping everything easy on the eyes and keeping the map interesting enough for players to explore and move around it.
